A challenge from Jacque!!!

My upline, Jacque Pedersen has challenges on her blog, and I have decided to join in this month. She has a sketch from Becky at pagemaps.com which we had to take what we wanted from it and come up with our intepretation. So thanks Jacque. I had fun with this sketch and I did a couple of things that I had not tried before, which is always great.

Here is the sketch for those of you who would like to see it:

And here is my version:  (Not the best photo sorry. Not the best light)

Here are a couple of close up’s:

  • Card stock – Creative Imaginations
  • Jouranlling Card – Making Memories
  • Derivan Kindy Glitz – Glitter and Silky White
  • Buttons – Shabby Chic
  • Ribbons – Bella, Making Memories and Bobbin Ribbbon.
  • White paint and starry bling are from unknown shops.

The things that I have tried for the first time were using the Kindy Glitz to put the circle around the rabbit, which sticks out from the picture which gives it a nice 3D effect, and the other was painting around the edges of the photo’s which made them stand out from the background a bit more.

From  now until the 31st of March 2009, Stampin’ Up!® will donate 50% of the retail price of the below products to help the survivors and their families after the terrible fires they have endured.

Well as we all know, that time of year is upon us again. The time of year that high schools hate as they get courier after courier with flower deliveries from those puppy love sick teenagers wanting to reach out to the girl or boy they “like”, anonymously so they don’t have to say it in person. What am I talking about???

It’s Valentines Day!!!!

My 6 year old son came up to me a couple of days ago and said that he would like to give the girls in his room a “little something”. Very cute, I know, but he did not give me too much time. But anyway, I did come up with a “little something”, and even if I say so myself, I think it is quite cute.

Let me know what you think….please.

Love is in the air

As you can see it is a small bag, which is made of the DSP (Double Sided Papers) from the “Petals and Paisleys” set, a sheet of card from the earth elements family and stamped on front is the heart stamp from the “Polka Dot Punches” set, out of the Sale-a-bration catalogue. Stamped in purely pomegranate, and finished off with a small amount of ribbon for the handle.

I then found these cute little heart shaped chocolates in a shop in town, am I suppose to mention the name? Must find out about that one!!!

I will let you know how my son goes!!! Little casanova says his father. I would hope not.We all know what he was famous for!!!

Any Happy Valentines everyone.

Here is a little ditty!!!

Well I just wanted to show you this little card that I made, with I think is my most favourite Stampin’ Up! set so far!!! The Baroque Motifs.

It makes all that you do  look so elegant, and I must admit that I have used it on a lot of projects, from scrapbooking pages, to off the page projects, birthday invitations, and of course…cards.

As you can see I also managed to use the circle and circle scallop punches along with some bling brads which just finish off those projects of ours, ever so nicely.

Hello to all of the readers that come to this, the newest blog in town. My name is Adele Quinn and I am ready to launch Stampin’ Up!® to Palmerston North.

If you are one of the many people around that enjoys scrapbooking, savouring all of those memories that we want to keep close to our hearts or making a personalized card  just perfect for those many occasions that we are faced with these days or creating your own special gift boxes for those treats that we all enjoy creating for friends and family then Stampin’ Up! could be your new best friend.

I have found that the products that Stampin’ Up! have to offer are not only of great quality but they also have a beautiful range of stamps, cardstock and punches that all work in together.

Below I have added a couple of things that I made with a good friend of mine over the weekend, that show the versatility of these products.

This card was made as a get well card using ‘green olive’ and ‘whisper white’ card stock, the ‘scribble jumbo wheel stamp’, inked in basic black. The ‘Thinking of you’ stamp from the ‘Greeting Galore’ set, inked in ‘close to cocoa’ filled in using ‘Stampin’ pastels’ with a blender pen. Finished off with ‘whisper white’ and ‘chocolate chip’ taffeta ribbon along the bottom of the card.

This next card was made with ‘certainly celery’ and ‘very vanilla’ card stock. Stamped with the frame from one of the stamps from the ‘Yummy’ set in ‘Basic black ‘ ink, the ‘celebrate’ stamp from the ‘Sweet Serendipity’ set in ‘old olive’ and ‘basic black’ stampin’ write markers, and the ‘Baroque Border’ ‘stampin’ wheel’ stamp in ‘purely pomegranate’. Then embellished with ‘purely pomegranate’ double stitched ribbon, and three ‘sahara sand’ eyelets.

As you may be able to tell I am new to all of this; so please forgive me if I do not have it sorted all at once.

I look forward to many visitors here in the future and hope you enjoy coming along for the ride alongside me.

This is the Sale-a-bration catalogue that only comes out once a year, so if you spend over a certain amount, you get to pick something for free!!! Nothing better than free.
